ひらふエリア

ニセコの「ひらふ」エリアは「ニセコ東急 グラン・ヒラフ」というスキーリゾートと、「ひらふ坂」を中心とするホテルや店舗、コンドミニアムなどが立ち並ぶエリアを示します。

「ニセコは外国人だらけで日本ではないみたい」というのは、主にこのエリアとその周辺を意味しています。

何十年も前からスキー客をターゲットにしたホテルが建ち並んでいましたが、近年はかなり建て替えが進み、外国人向けのホテルや店が増えています。日本人はもはやターゲットではないので日本語で話しかけると面食らう店員さんもいたりします。

かなり再開発されましたが現在（2025年4月）も開発が進行中です。

The Hirafu area in Niseko indicates the Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu ski resort and the area around Hirafu Slope, where hotels, shops and condominiums are located.

When people say, ‘Niseko is so full of foreigners it feels like it’s not Japan’, they often mean this area.

There have been hotels for Japanese skiers for decades, but in recent years the area has been transformed, with more hotels and shops catering for foreigners. Or rather, Japanese people do not seem to be the target.

It has been considerably redeveloped, but development is still ongoing (November 2024).
